Bubbly Beer Spritzer

Talk about crisp refreshing beer on vacation! This is such a fresh tasting drink. The idea for this drink came from my BFF Carol who is living in Germany. We are seriously obsessed with food and 90 percent of our conversations involve what we eat or are going to what when we see each other. When she moved to Germany she was so excited to tell me about the beer because she was so impressed with how yummy they were. She is not a beer drinker and this one hit the spot.

The story of this drink is sooo cool! A long long time ago in Germany, cyclists were riding through town, and the local bar did not have enough beer for them so he mixed it with lemonade. Over the years it has become more lemon lime soda and beer mixed together. The name of this drink in Germany is called Randler which mean cyclist. I love when history and mistakes become something yummy. That is why a dash of gratitude is always needed in your kitchen for all recipes. Some of my greatest mistakes in my kitchen causes delicious greatness. The ones that did not turn out so yummy taught me so much!

In this video below my friend Christina joined me to make this drink. This was filmed awhile ago and now she has a beautiful baby girl and definitely cheers to her awesome new baby. We always have so much fun together and laugh so hard when we are hanging out as you will see in this video. Hope you love this video and the drink! People are always amazed on how bubbly lemony and fruity this drink is with two simple ingredients.
