This is a magical makeover where leftover croutons become flavor-bomb breadcrumbs!
Croutons are my absolute favorite! My mom will tell you that she used to have to hide the crouton boxes so that I did not eat them all. Little me would go down stairs at 6am and find the croutons and sit in front of the TV and watch my morning cartoons. When I heard my mom I would run and put the box of croutons back in the hiding spot (usually an empty box)! Then in college I lived in New Haven and found this great restaurant called Claire’s Corn Copia that sells the best salads (yes I said salads that’s how good they are). On top of the salad like a cherry on a sundae were amazing croutons. I ordered extra croutons so many times they call me the crouton man!
Here Is The Recipe:
Ingredients
- Leftover croutons (watch the video to see why they call me “The Crouton Man”!)
Instructions
- Place croutons in food processor
- Pulse until they look like sand
- Put in zip-lock bag or Tupperware and store in the freezer for future use
