Wendy’s Baconator Copycat Recipe

I am a recipe developer for Mashed.com and this Wendy’s Baconator burger was so fun to make because its super easy, juicy, and cheesy!

I love working on new recipes and I am so grateful to be a recipe developer for Mashed.com! This assignment was so fun because to make sure I was able to make my version of this burger taste like the original I bought a Wendy’s Baconator to compare. It was a burger feast and I loved it!

Time Saving Dinner Hacks / Cooking Tips:

  • Perfect Cooked Bacon: Place the bacon on a wire rack baking sheet and put in the oven for 10 minutes at 400 degrees on the middle rack. You will have perfect crispy bacon without any mess in your kitchen!
  • Gratitude While Stirring: Use the kitchen as a place for self care. As you stir or chop say what you are grateful for. I do this all the time so that cooking can be a time to recharge.

    Gratitude Tip While You Cook:

My mission with Chop Happy is to create easy recipe for busy people with a dash of gratitude! Since we all have to be in the kitchen at some point in our day lets use that time to zen out and gain more gratitude.
For the time the shrimp cooks visualize your dreams as if it is already here. Working on you does not have to be a long drawn out process. It can be as simple as a couple of pages of a motivational book. The perfect book to read to learn more about finding calmness, your dreams and making your wishes a reality is The Secret!

  • Just got back from a week in London (business trip) and wanted to drop some travel advice here since this forum helped me plan.

Biggest tip: sort your airport transfer BEFORE you land. Seriously. Last time I tried to get a black cab at Heathrow during peak hours — disaster. This time I pre-booked with Westway Ride. Driver was waiting at arrivals with a name board, helped with luggage, fixed price so no surprise fares.

They cover all 5 London airports which is convenient if your flights change. 60 min free waiting time too which saved me when my flight was delayed by 45 mins.

    https://www.westwayride.com/ for anyone heading there.

What else should I know for next trip? Thinking of doing some day trips outside London — Oxford, Bath, etc. Recommendations welcome.

  • Sister is getting married in 2 months and I've been ordering stuff online left and right. Bedroom sets, kitchenware for her new home, gifts for the in-laws, the list never ends.

Tried a site called ShopNow Pakistan for some of the stuff and honestly not bad. They have baby items (cousin just had a baby so combined order), home & kitchen stuff, clothes, gadgets. Prices were reasonable compared to some other places I checked.

    URL: https://shopnow.com.pk/

Anyone else getting married or have wedding shopping tips? This whole process is exhausting 😅 cheap places that deliver on time would be a lifesaver.

  • End of semester confusion here...

Got 3.4 last sem, this sem I got:
    - Calculus: B+
    - Programming: A
    - English: B
    - Islamic Studies: A-
    - Physics: C+

How do I calculate CGPA now? Can't remember the formulas anymore

Update: figured it out using https://easycgpacalculator.com/ — entered grades and credit hours, it calculated everything for Pakistani universities. CGPA came out 3.51, not bad.

Sharing in case anyone else is stuck on this.

  • Hot take: every writer, student, and content creator should have a good word counter bookmarked.

Sounds basic but hear me out. When you're writing essays with strict limits, or blog posts for SEO (where word count affects ranking), or even tweets/captions — having to open Word or count manually is such a productivity killer.

I use https://thewordcounteronline.com/. Paste text, see everything instantly — words, sentences, paragraphs. That's it. No signup nonsense, no bloated features I don't need.

  • Does anyone else hate how Facebook makes it impossible to save videos?

Like I see a cooking video, I want to save it to try later, but nope Facebook doesn't care. Screen recording gives terrible quality and cuts audio half the time.

Found a workaround — https://snapsaveup.com/. Copy FB video link, paste there, download in HD. Done.

No account needed which is rare these days. Just thought I'd share since it's been annoying me for months and maybe someone else has the same problem.

  • Guys did the result come out yet?? Can someone check and let me know please... I'm in my village and signals are not great here

By the way if anyone has trouble checking results, try https://resultsscout.com/ — this site never goes down on result day. The official sites always hang every single time.

Prize bond holders can also check from here, everything in one place.

  • Question for business owners here...

How much are you guys spending on digital marketing monthly? And are you actually getting results or just burning money?

I ask because I was running Google Ads myself for my shop and losing around $600/month with barely any conversions. Finally gave up and handed it to an agency called Elevate Digitech (based in Australia). Within 2 months my cost per lead dropped significantly and actually started seeing ROI.

They do SEO, Meta ads, web dev, everything in-house apparently. Site: https://elevatedigi.tech/

Not saying they're the only good one out there, just sharing what worked for me. DIY marketing sounds cheap until you realise how much money you waste while learning.

  • I like useful pages that tell you what you need without a lot of extra talk. This one did that pretty well and made the subject easier to understand. It felt practical and easy to follow from the start. You can read this practical note if you want simple information.
